With your driving license you can circulate with Okar Motorhomes.
All our Motorhomes weigh less than 3,500kg. You can drive a motorhome with the B driving license for passenger cars if it does not exceed 3,500 kilos in weight and nine seats. If this weight is exceeded you would have to obtain the B96 or B+E card.
Limited speed for driving caravans or motorhomes
The General Directorate of Traffic establishes speed limits to reduce the risk of an accident:

Where to park the motorhome?
When driving caravans you must take into account parking.
- According to the general rule, with a caravan or motorhome you can park anywhere where parking is allowed and traffic regulations are complied with. However, find out well before traveling, as some municipalities impose fines according to their own regulations.
- To avoid problems, we recommend that you take a copy of the instruction 08/V-74 of the General Directorate of Traffic related to motorhomes where parking is regulated, and that you inform yourself of the local regulations to be able to anticipate possible problems.
- It is always advisable to use wheel chocks to prevent the vehicle from slipping if parked on a slope. You should also know that, as in any private vehicle, you can eat or sleep in the caravan as long as you are parked, which is not the same as camping.
Can you camp with the motorhome?
Wild camping is not allowed in Spain. Camping is considered when some element protrudes outside the perimeter of the vehicle itself, that is, when you extend an awning, chairs, tables… Also when you spill some liquid in the area, make noise or cause discomfort to other people. In the case of extending a roof (since the perimeter does not protrude) it is not considered camping, so you can use said bed while parked. If you want to camp with the motorhome you will have to go to a campsite or to an area enabled for it.
Tips for safe motorhome driving
Due to the weight and characteristics of a motorhome, it is necessary to take into account some driving recommendations.
- As in any vehicle, before starting a trip you should check the condition and pressure of the tires and fluids.
- It is always advisable to carry travel insurance for a safer vacation.
- Driving must be smooth, without sudden acceleration or braking, to prevent the vehicle and trailer combination from becoming unstable.
- Take all interior objects properly stored and fastened. Nothing should be loose while riding.
- Drive at a stable speed in which you feel comfortable, but not too fast or slow, because unnecessary risks are generated with other vehicles. If you are caught in a strong wind during the trip, the wisest thing to do is to slow down and even stop the vehicle until the weather improves. In the same way, you have to act in case of adverse weather, although it is best to anticipate and be proactive to avoid driving in adverse weather.
- Do not take any type of alcohol or drugs if you are going to drive.
- If you are not used to driving caravans or large vehicles, it is advisable to practice some maneuvers, for example, parking, reversing, sharp turns.
